Hank Crawford

Hank Crawford was an American alto saxophonist associated with soul jazz and R&B, notable for work in Ray Charles’s big band and for leading that ensemble as musical director in the early 1960s. He also released Atlantic solo recordings and later issued hits on Kudu, including the 1975 disco-era cover of the Supremes’ “I Hear A Symphony.”
