The Isley Brothers

The Isley Brothers were an American family group whose sound spanned doo-wop, gospel-driven rock ’n’ roll, soul-pop, and funk. Formed in Cincinnati in 1954 and relocating to New York, they became known for hits like “Shout,” “Twist and Shout,” and “It’s Your Thing,” and for Ronald Isley’s lead vocals and Ernie Isley’s guitar.
