Hikaru Utada 宇多田ヒカル

Hikaru Utada is a Japanese singer-songwriter born in New York whose work blends J-pop with American R&B, trip-hop, and dance-pop, and who is known for redefining late-1990s J-pop and for the best-selling 1999 album First Love. Raised partly in the United States and writing and producing much of their own material, Utada gained major acclaim with a string of hit singles and albums including First Love and Exodus.
