You arrived without a warning
Leather jacket, cheap cologne
Every red flag looked romantic
Underneath the disco globe
One step forward, two steps back
You’re the rhythm that I lack
We do the bad idea ballet
Spin me around, then run away
Beautiful mess, perfect mistake
We do the bad idea ballet
You keep stepping on my feelings
I keep calling it a dance
Maybe chemistry is stupid
Maybe chaos feels like chance
One step forward, two steps back
Here we go around the track
We do the bad idea ballet
Spin me around, then run away
Beautiful mess, perfect mistake
We do the bad idea ballet
Curtain falling, music ends
I won’t dance with you again
That was the bad idea ballet
Now I can finally walk away
Take your roses, keep your mistakes
I quit the bad idea ballet
