In the young month of April
In the old park, the snow is melting
And the merry swings
Start their joyful run
Everything in the world is forgotten!
My heart has frozen in my chest!
Only the sky, only the wind,
Only joy ahead.
Only the sky, only the wind,
Only joy ahead.
Soaring higher than the fir trees,
Unaware of any bounds,
The winged swings,
They fly, they fly, they fly.
The winged swings,
They fly, they fly, they fly.
Childhood will end someday,
For it is not forever,
The kids will grow up,
And scatter away, each to their own.
But for now, we're just kids,
We've still got to grow
Only the sky, only the wind,
Only joy ahead of us.
Only the sky, only the wind,
Only joy ahead of us.
Soaring higher than the firs,
Unfettered by a wall
Winged swings
Fly, fly, fly.
Winged swings,
They fly, they fly, they fly.
The globe spins faster,
In the springtime hustle,
And the birds sing above us.
And we sing like the birds.
Everything's forgotten in this world,
The heart has frozen in the chest.
Only the sky, only the wind,
Only joy is ahead.
Only the sky, only the wind,
Only joy lies ahead.
Soaring high above the firs,
Unknowing of any barriers,
The winged swings
Fly, fly, fly.
The winged swings
Fly, fly, fly.
