Con la punta del pie, Teresa
With the tip of her toe, Teresa
La punta del pie
The tip of her toe
Con la punta del pie, Teresa
With the tip of her toe, Teresa
La punta del pie
The tip of her toe
A Teresa qué le pasa
What’s wrong with Teresa?
A Teresa yo no sé
I don’t know about Teresa
Que cuando baila conmigo lo hace
That when she dances with me she does it
Con la punta del pie
With the tip of her toe
Con la punta del pie, Teresa
With the tip of her toe, Teresa
La punta del pie
The tip of her toe
Con la punta del pie, Teresa
With the tip of her toe, Teresa
La punta del pie
The tip of her toe
Con la punta, con la punta, con la punta del pie
With the tip, with the tip, with the tip of her toe
Teresa baila mi bomba, Teresa
Teresa dances my bomb, Teresa
Con la punta del pie
With the tip of her toe
Con la punta del pie, Teresa
With the tip of her toe, Teresa
La punta del pie
The tip of her toe
Con la punta del pie, Teresa
With the tip of her toe, Teresa
La punta del pie
The tip of her toe
Con la punta del pie, Teresa
With the tip of her toe, Teresa
La punta del pie
The tip of the toe
Con la punta del pie, Teresa
With the tip of the toe, Teresa
La punta del pie
The tip of the toe
Caballero, si usted la viera
Gentleman, if you could see her
Lo sandunguera que se ve
How graceful she looks
La negrita Teresa bailando
The little black girl Teresa dancing
En la punta del pie
On the tip of the toe
Con la punta del pie, Teresa
With the tip of the toe, Teresa
La punta del pie
The tip of the toe
Con la punta del pie, Teresa
With the tip of the toe, Teresa
La punta del pie
The tip of the toe
Teresa baila la danza
Teresa dances the dance
También vacila el minuén
The minuén also sways
Pero cuando baila bomba, caballero
But when she dances bomba, sir
En la punta del pie
On the tip of the toe
Con la punta del pie, Teresa
With the tip of the toe, Teresa
La punta del pie
The tip of the toe
Con la punta del pie, Teresa
With the tip of the toe, Teresa
La punta del pie
The tip of the toe
A Teresa qué le pasa
What's wrong with Teresa
Que a Teresa yo no sé
I don't know about Teresa
Que cuando baila conmigo lo hace
That when she dances with me, she does it
En la punta del pie
On the tip of her toes
Con la punta del pie, Teresa
On the tip of her toes, Teresa
La punta del pie
The tip of her toes
Con la punta del pie, Teresa
On the tip of her toes, Teresa
La punta del pie
The tip of her toes

About this song
Firmly fixed in the Latin music firmament as "El Sonero Mayor" (The Greatest Singer), Ismael Rivera was blessed with a gloriously husky voice, which he honed into a unique improvisational instrument.
